Is the sun setting on America?
After the Ron Paul rally in Philadelphia two weeks ago, I went to visit Independence Hall, the birthplace of our nation and later, it’s Constitution. It was a very moving experience for me.
Our tour guide spoke and explained some interesting facts. One thing that intrigued me was a story he told us about when the Constitution was being written.
On the back of the chair at the front desk of the room (where I believe George Washington sat) is a plaque of the sun on the horizon:
According to the account told to us by our tour guide, after the Constitution was done being written and had been signed, Ben Franklin stood up and said that the entire time he had often looked at the little sun behind the President without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting. But now, he said, he knew that it was a rising sun.

It is also a sun on the horizon. Is it rising, or is it setting?
Let’s see. Over 200 years have passed since the day the Constitution was ratified. Since then, and most notably in the past decade, it has been completely trashed by the US government. In Obama’s admininistration alone, over half the Bill of Rights has been wiped out under the National Defense Authorization Act. The government has also been trying to pass Internet censorship bills – the latest being CISPA. There goes the First Amendment! The nation our Founders established has all but vanished. And unless we the people do something about it, the sun will set on the America we once knew and cherished. In it’s place will arise a totalitarian state, ready to merge into the coming one world government.
